Breakfast Green Smoothie

2 handfuls Baby Spinach
1 handful Cilantro
½ Banana
½ Apple (any kind)
5 large Strawberries (with stem)
1 tsp. Honey
1 cup 100% Orange Juice
2 cup Milk (any kind)

Add the baby spinach, cilantro into the blender. Then, add all your fruits. Lastly, add your liquids. Blend. Add ice, if you desire. Enjoy!

Hi everyone!

The reason why I wanted to share this smoothie with you guys is because I've set a short term goal for myself to help with my weightloss. I'll be doing Color Vibe 5K Run in exactly 2 months with my boyfriend & some of our friends. I'm very excited but also rather apprehensive about it since I'm not exactly in the best shape. Since the move, I haven't been very consistent with my healthy eating or my exercising. So, this is the perfect excuse to restart my workouts and eating better again...

Please, don't think this is a "weightloss" smoothie. It is not!  The reason why I drink it in the morning is because it has tons of vitamins, minerals, and all sorts of good stuff that help my fruit and veggie intake + gives me lots of energy that doesn't make me crash like other stuff I've taken before; however, it is packed with milk (we use 'whole' around here), fruit sugar & honey (non weight-losing ingredients per se). Also, I suffer from anemia (deficiency of red blood cells). The large amount of baby spinach helps my anemia and alleviates my "monthly issues" because of its rich iron content. I'm not a huge red meat eater, so this is the next best thing for me. Also, cilantro and apples are great detoxifiers and possess powerful antioxidants & anticarcinogens. I make sure to make enough smoothie every morning for myself and my 2 little ones.

I hope you found this blog post helpful. I know this is a little out of the norm for me, but decided to post it since beauty truly begins from the inside. Like Drake said, "Beauty isn't about having a pretty face. It's about having a pretty mind, a pretty heart, and a pretty soul*" ...and a pretty healthy body that will last you a long time too...

Until next time...
P.S.: Oh yeah, I forgot to mention...I have a 2nd Instagram account dedicated exclusively to my attempting to lose weight. It's still in it's baby stages & I'm not a personal trainer, physician or even a health nut. I'm just trying to track down my progress. If you're interested, my username for that account is @lizzyloseslbs

* Yes, I quoted Drake.

Monat Global Rejuveniqe™ Oil Intensive {Review}

*** Disclaimer: I received this product, courtesy of iFabbo & Monat Global,
for review & use in conjunction with this blog post. All opinions are my own.

Hey everyone!

I'm still on hiatus around here because, to be completely honest, we still haven't 100% finalized the setup of our new apartment (long story). I'll do a video tour of our new place once we are all ready & prettied up. Seriously for being in that minuscule LA apartment for 3 years, I have no idea how in the world we managed to accumulate so much crap. Anyway, onto the actual subject of this blog post...

The reason why I broke out of my small hiatus is because I wanted to share a review about this product. It was sent to me about 6 weeks ago and have been testing it ever since we moved to our new place (more on that later). Before trying out this product, I had yet to find a multi-purpose oil that wouldn't feel like I was lathering my face or hair with cooking oil and wouldn't leave any uncomfortable residue. Voilà! Welcome to using Monat Global Rejuveniqe Oil Intensive.

Monat Global Rejuveniqe Oil Intensive

Company claims, "Nourish and energize the scalp with an invigorating blend of 11+ unique molecular ingredients - including vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, beta-carotene, and omega-3 fatty acids - that mimic the body's natural oils! Moving Sucks!

Hello, my pretties!

Just wanted to let you all know I'm going to be M.I.A. from the blog and all social media for the next few weeks. We have relocated to a new place right outside of Los Angeles because the Mr. got a new job. We are very excited to start this new chapter in our lives!

As with all major changes in life, the move will take some time to adjust. Currently, I'm up to my neck in boxes and stuff that needs to be put away + gotta make sure the boys remain alive & well (which is no easy task, let me tell you...). Once I'm done setting up our new home, I'll be working in the blog's back-end making some major changes. If things look a little wonky around here for a bit, just know that it's me working on some background stuff and moving things around.

If anyone needs to get a hold of me for whatever reason, just leave me a comment below or email me at and I'll get back to you as soon as I get a chance.

Thank you all, as always, for your continued love & support. It doesn't go unnoticed. For now, I send you all tons of love & light while I run around like a chicken without head...

See y'all very soon again!

Bridal Beauty & Style with

Hello, my pretties! ♥

Bridal style involves uniqueness & individualism. It can be classic & romantic or quirky & off-the-wall. There's no right or wrong way of doing it. All you have to do is trust your gut-feeling, go with what suits your personality and how you want to remember one of the most important days of your life. is a great website where you can spend endless hours getting wedding inspiration not only for gorgeous gowns, but for anything wedding-related. At the end of your wedding day, the most special thing is always that you have officially married the love of your life! ♥ Of course, a pretty dress that makes you look fabulous always helps make the day extra special.

I still dream of my wedding day. Andrés & I are very non-traditional and did things backwards (...that's a whooole other blog post LOL). But that doesn't stop this girl from dreaming of that special day when my 2 boys will walk me down the aisle to marry their father. We talk about it a lot and I know it will happen soon. I want to make sure I look extra fashionable that day!

In this blog post, I want to showcase 3 different makeup looks inspired by 3 beautiful dresses I found in the website. I had so much fun spending endless hours looking at gorgeous wedding gowns and deciding what looks I would wear with each one of them. The dresses I have chosen lean more on the non-traditional and range just below the $500 mark. A wedding gown can be inexpensive, fun, unconventional and modern without losing elegance & sophistication.

If you're interested in finding out what kind of makeup I chose for each wedding dress from, just keep reading... ☺

"With intricate lace and a polished, half-sleeve silhouette, this flared dress was handcrafted in NYC by Leanne Marshall. Perfect for a memorable night (or day) of dancing, the knee-skimming skirt puts your shoes in the spotlight."

I love this dress for a daytime wedding or for a bride who doesn't want to be fussing around with a long gown. I love how playful yet vintage it looks. It makes me think how this dress could be a beautiful heirloom to pass from one generation to the next.

On Claudia, I wanted a very fresh makeup that would make her look young and flirty. I wanted there to be a strong contrast between her youthful pretty face and the very traditional lace. To make her stand out, I kept the entire makeup very monochromatic by adding soft peachy-pinks all throughout her face. What this does is creates a flush of all-over color that makes her blonde hair and big, expressive blue eyes really stand out.

I achieved her eye look by using a mixture of Too Faced Chocolate Bar Salted Caramel & LORAC Pro Mauve on the crease and Too Faced Chocolate Bar Champagne & Marzipan + LORAC Pro Nude, Champagne & Pewter on the lids. For the cheeks, I used a mixture of Sacha Cosmetics blushes in Barely Plum, Color Me Coral & Rose Glow. On the lips, I used a mixture of J.Cat Beauty Wonder Lip Paint in Mimsy + Sacha Cosmetics Summer Peach & Bubble Gum lipgloss with a bit of Rosebud Salve for extra shine.

by White by Vera Wang

"This elegant strapless draped lace column gown defines ethereal beauty. Beautiful Chantilly lace is draped at opposing angles for an amazingly flattering design, and underneath it all is a sensual double layer of charmeuse lining. A simply chic look easily changed to modern, romantic, or glamorous by adding a White by Vera Wang horsehair, floral, or crystal sash."

Now, I know a black wedding gown is very non-traditional and not for everyone, but the beautiful lace and flower waist detail make it look romantic and timeless. If the black color doesn't suit your style, this is definitely a versatile dress that would also look stunning in white (similar choices HERE and HERE).

On Christian, I kept things very smokey and strong on the eye area but avoided using black to not make it harsh. Instead, I stuck with a wash of purple eyeshadow and very strong definition on the outer corner to lift her eyes and avoid droopiness. I kept her skin neutral and her lips really natural. I didn't add any blush because I wanted to keep the statement primarily on her bone structure and the dress. She has beautiful high cheekbones and I really wanted to emphasize that. Instead of blush, I gave her skin a beautiful healthy and radiant glow that even J.Lo would approve of!

I achieved her look by using a mixture of LORAC Pro Deep Purple & Too Faced Candied Violet eyeshadows on the eyelids, Temptu Pro Champagne Shimmer on the cheeks and forehead (concentrating primarily on the cheekbones & above the brow arches), well-defined contouring of the face with airbrush foundation about 4 times darker than her skintone, and neutral but glowy lips by using a clear gloss with LORAC Pro Gold eyeshadow.

by The Dessy Group

"Sleeveless modern lace dress with wide matching satin sash. Flared skirt has sweep train."

This gown is definitely more structured and architectural than the previous two. The laser-cut lace gives it a very modern and up-to-date look yet the stylish cut keeps the dress very classic.

For Desiree, I wanted a much more sophisticated and defined look to go with her gown. The main emphasis was on her eyes. She has gorgeously huge almond-shaped eyes that needed to be showcased. I opted for a very defined cut-crease with an accentuated cat-eyeliner and tons of lashes. I kept things super simple on the lower part of the eyes by only adding a cream color pencil on her waterline & a couple coats of mascara on her lower lashes. Since there was so much going on with the eyes, I kept the contouring to a minimum. I only added a bit of highlight to the face to give it a bit of dimension. Her lips were darkened with a shiny mulberry color that didn't clash with the eyes and only enough blush to make her cheeks visible.

To achieve this look, I used LORAC Pro Black to cut her crease and used Sable & Espresso to blend it up. Added just a touch of Taupe to create a difussed gradient. For the lids, I used a combination of LORAC Pro Gold & Urban Decay Naked2 Half Baked to give them a very strong gold-tone that would highly contrast with her crease. On her cheeks, I used a combination of Orange Flame & Burnt Orange blushes from Sacha Cosmetics. Her lips were filled in with Italia Mahogany lip pencil, then Maybelline Divine Wine lipstick was added for some creaminess and finally, topped with Sacha Cosmetics Summer Cognac lipgloss.

I hope this blog post gave you some great ideas for your wedding day and that you enjoyed reading it as much as we thoroughly enjoyed working on it. But WAIT...! There will be a 2nd part to this blog post. So, stay tuned for that ☺ Because when I come back, I will show you the entire photoshoot that was 100% inspired by these 3 dresses. You're in for a serious treat!

Until next time...

30-Minute Makeup {FOTD}

Hello, my pretties!

I can't tell you how many times I've heard women say "Oh, I just don't have time to put makeup on..." Well, you know what I say to that? BULLSH*T! Yup, I said it. Anyone can go from drab to fab in exactly 30 minutes!

If you have read my About section here on the blog, you know I am mom to 2 delicious toddler boys. They are constantly tugging at me or pulling my fingers to take me somewhere for some reason. Their needs, of course, always come first and are taken care of before any makeup application. Once they're settled, my cellphone timer gets set for exactly 30 mins to do makeup, a simple hairdo, and throw on whatever clothes I am going to wear.

Don't get me wrong. Sometimes, I don't even have 30 minutes and I'll look like this instead. And when I do have those 30 minutes, there are constant interruptions and I have to stop whatever I am doing; however, there's a goal to achieve and I try my best to do it. It doesn't always happen perfectly but, over time, I have gotten a lot faster at taking care of my makeup business in 30 minutes.

Bare face before & polished face 30 mins after

My whole point is: Take time for YOU to try to look presentable and polished. You will feel 100% better about yourself and your husband/boyfriend/partner will appreciate the effort you have put into putting yourself together and will feel proud to show you off and stand by your side. Now, your partner should feel proud of you regardless of whether you're wearing makeup or not. If he (or she) doesn't, it's time to throw his (or her) a$$ out to the curb! #JustSayin' You should be loved for you, not your makeup application skills anyway...

Learn what looks best on you and what you like to emphasize the most out of your face. Practice makes perfect and over time you will get faster at applying makeup on. One quick tip: Make sure you have all  your makeup, tools & clothing ready, so you don't have to waste precious time looking for stuff #AintNobodyGotTimeForThat!

Perfect Palette Tag!

Hello, my pretties! ♥

This is a tag that has been going around in the makeup world. I have been thinking of doing it for a while, but it wasn't until now that I had a chance to really sit down and do it. October tends to be a pretty busy month for us and this year is no exception. Even with that, I still found time to fully compare these palettes up against each other and give you guys an idea of what I think about them. I have already done reviews on some of them, but my opinions may have changed over time as I have used them more. I took into consideration every possible aspect - pigmentation, color selection, formula, versatility, and range of mattes vs. shimmers. Which is the perfect palette? Let's find out! ☺

Burgundy Smokey Eye Makeup Look for Fall {FOTD}

Hello, my pretties! ♥

It seems like forever since the last time I posted a FOTD. The reality is that I haven't really gotten too much time to wear a full face of makeup in the past couple months. We have been so busy! This, of course, explains the excess reviews in the past few weeks too... But it's time to spice things up a bit again! A lot of you wanted a product breakdown of this look when I posted it on my Instagram. It's the perfect balance of color and smokeyness (is that a word?) for the fall season. So here you have it: A Burgundy Smokey Eye Makeup Look. Enjoy! ☺

• Dermadeli Invigorating Vitamin C Serum all over my face & neck.
• Perlier Honey Royal Gold Elixir all over my face & neck too.
• NYX Cosmetics Angel Veil Skin Perfecting Face Primer. Applied onto the areas where I get oily the most + wherever I have any acne scarring.
• Benefit Cosmetics Some Kind-a Gorgeous Cream to Powder Foundation. Applied with my Beauty Blender all over the areas where I applied my face primer. I did 2 coats because this is a very light foundation, but it's totally buildable for light-medium/medium coverage that still looks like your skin.

Brazen Cosmetics {Review}

***Disclaimer: I received these free samples, courtesy of Brazen Cosmetics
for use in conjunction with this blog post. All opinions are my own.

Brazen Cosmetics Care Package

Hello, my pretties!

When we think makeup, we tend to think of all the big names we are familiar with (L'Oreal, Revlon, LORAC, Too Faced, etc.) and associate those companies with "quality". It's hard to believe that indie makeup companies - those that don't have huge labs or massive advertisement companies at their disposal - can be just as wonderful or even better  (yep, I said it). This is where Brazen Cosmetics comes in!

A few months back, I was introduced to this company through one of my close friends, Kat (+IndieGoKat), who said great things about them. Me, being the cynical person that I am, thought "Yeah, right..."  because I just couldn't believe that such a company could exist. I mean, it was like talking about mythical creatures...except this one does exist!

All samples open.

And why is Brazen Cosmetics so special? Well, first off, the creator & owner is Sandria Marie - a girl who has been working in the makeup industry and formulating cosmetics for the past 15 years. She is very passionate about her brand and the quality of the makeup that comes out of her shop. She guarantees every single item  because Brazen is formulated with long-wearing professional-grade formulas packed with ingredients that are actually good  for your face! Who doesn't want that kind of security when applying makeup on their skin? I know I do!

*** Special Note:  Not all the products listed below are currently for sale on their website. Whatever products are currently available will have a link and the regular  price listed. Please note that some of the items may be on sale at the time of this post. I am unsure at this point whether the products unavailable on the website are new or discontinued. Please contact the manufacturer for additional information.

Below are images that showcase several makeup samples from their line, so let's move on to the swatches!!! Get yourself a snack. We have a lot  to talk about... ☺

It's a long  story, which I'll be sharing more about in (cross your fingers) the next couple of weeks. I didn't want to give you a half-done post, so I waited until everything was tested. I hope you guys understand...

Before I get started with this review, however, I would like to share with you a bit about Gorgeous Cosmetics and what they are all about. Are you guys ready? Let's do this! ☺
